Joan and Winnie is a family run business based out of Hertfordshire.  We specialise in handmade products made of the highest quality and our moto is "Traditional Quality for a Modern Time".  Two sisters, both ferocious stitchers, who always had a keen interested in fashion, fabrics and design, created the company during lockdown last year.  Both our grandmother and great-grandfather were professional upholsterers so only seemed right to keep up the family tradition!  The little cottage industry has taken off fuelled by the fact that all the products are truly unique with no two items being exactly the same.

Oh and the name … Joan is our mother’s name and Winnie is the name of my husband's mother.  Both are sadly no longer with us but we are sure that they would have loved what we have achieved and been touched by the name.
